Preparations for MBA: Why one needs MBA?!

The young graduates aspiring to step into a career in MANAGEMENT should spend 1 minute on this.
Why MBA?
Is it just for the sake of earning another degree? OR Is it a symbol of status for you in your society? OR Is it just to extend your student life days for another couple of years? OR Is it to enable you to find a better match in matrimony?
If the answer to all of the above questions is “NO” then what for do you want an MBA?

Remember the myths of MBA
Admission to MBA program is a means to an end
Attitude does not play any role
Learning happens only through foreign trips and AC classrooms
Competencies can be instantly developed as and when required
Industry tolerates us the way we are
Can get away with being technically challenged
                  Time does not have dimension

Aspirant of MBA program must aim at:
Intrinsic motivation for creativity and innovation
Developing the right attitude (which every employer looks for)
Building the foundation for one’s career (consistent effort in the desired direction)
Promoting values and culture of a system (practicing values and upholding the culture of the system)
Contributing to the economic development (creating wealth for the society)
Demonstrating socially responsible active citizenship (respect law)
Caring for sustainable development (caring for the environment and it’s state of existence for the future generation)

Path to Success:
Hard Work: There is no substitute for hard work and success follows hard work (Hard work is mother of success). Hence prepare to succeed through hard work and remember there is no short cut.
Attitude: Attitude builds altitude. It was said “We recruit for attitude and train for skills”.
Academic Excellence: Learning is of utmost importance to stand apart from the rest.  Best learning happens only through academic excellence.
Team Work: World is progressing on a collaborative mode. Now interdisciplinary problem solving skills is most sought after. Train yourself to be active team member and become a leader.

Have a clear vision: Dream of where you want to see yourself after 15 years, set a trajectory to convert the dream into reality.
